“When you heal others, you heal yourself.”— Carl Jung

When we engage in acts of kindness or voluntary service, our brain releases dopamine and oxytocin —the same chemicals that light up when we receive love or joy.

The brain’s reward system does not distinguish between self and others. So in the very moment we help someone, our own brain experiences healing and calm.

This is not just a moral act —it’s a neural resonance,an invisible vibration where my nervous systemmeets and mirrors another’s.

Jung called this the collective psyche healing:a subtle purification of the shared unconscious of humanity.

To help others, then,is not merely to ease their suffering —but to remember our own capacity to love, and to become whole again.
